The Bible

God understood man’s need for helpful resources. Early in human history God provided His people with narratives that were passed from generation to generation. As the population of the world began to expand so did the need for more transferable material. Over the course of more than one thousand years men that were inspired by God wrote the books that now make up the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.

The Bible does not contain all that God knows but rather what God chose to reveal about Himself. The basic message of the Word of God is that life with God can be attained and subsequently what that life looks like.

The Scriptures are written mainly in narrative form and should be read for understanding by keeping in mind their grammatical and historical context. The stories contained in the sacred text display not only the characters positive achievements and qualities but also their shortcomings and mistakes.

Christian Literature

Thousand of books have been written about the content and teachings of the Bible. It would be safe to say that more books have been written about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ than any other figure in human history. Discipleship to Jesus Christ forms the underlying framework of all Christian literature. Without the understanding of the person of Christ there can be no Christian life or literature.

Some of the most popular categories of Christian writings are:

  • Marriage and Family
  • Life’s Purpose
  • What the Bible is all About
  • Stewardship of Time and Money
  • End Times and Bible Prophecy
  • Hope when you are Discouraged
  • Is there Life After Death
  • Sorrow and Healing
